This is an open-air ethnographic museum, the exposition introduces Belarusian folk architecture and traditional interiors.
The museum was founded in 1976. The exposition is built on the conditional division of the republic into historical and ethnographic regions. Currently, there are three sectors - "Central Belarus", "Dnieper" and "Poozerye". The sector presents the typical for the region type of settlement and natural conditions.
The Museum of Folk Architecture and Life also hosts folk festivals and festivals - Maslenitsa, Kolyada and many others.
